Stories from the Oslofjord
A Hundred Years of Listening is a listening not only forward in time, but also backwards. It is a commitment to listen in all directions, and with all our senses. To listen with place is to deepen our dialog with it, and through that to find a place for our own voice. In a time of rapid forgetting, A Hundred Years of Listening is a practice of remembering what it means to be in right relationship with our fjord, with each other, and with the more-than-human world. We are here to listen to stories emerging from the glimmering inlets and sun-speckled beaches and shadowy depths of the Oslofjord. Together we imagine what the Oslofjord can once again become by hearing what she once — not so long ago — already was.
A shared practice of remembering what it means to be in right relationship with our waters.

If we just take a breath, they come—butterflies, birds, life—they come immediately. And that gives hope. I laugh and laugh when I tell it. Because I can’t help but feel that nature is laughing along with me.
